I am a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo.  I began training at age 10, and am now 28 years old.

I love teaching Taekwondo!  I know 1st hand what a benefit it can be to any body’s life.  When I began training, I was a very shy timid girl.  Unless I knew you personally I wouldn’t speak 1st.  If you spoke to me I would politely respond, but very quietly and unconfidently.  However, through my training I quickly began to gain confidence and leadership.  I developed what we call in Taekwondo an “Indomitable Spirit.”  This is an “I can” mind set.  By age 14 I was leading my 1st class and was so excited to do it!
I have a true passion for Taekwondo.  One of my favorite parts of training is bag drills.  Whether it be paddles, heavy bags or shields, I love them all!  Secondly, I really enjoy Poomse “Forms.” This is the artistic part of Taekwondo.  You develop grace and balance in your body’s movement, as well as power, snap, clean technique and focus all in one.
I have also competed in Taekwondo at the Regional, National and International level.  Competitions are a great way to develop ones skill.  Win or loose you always come home with something new you have learned.  They are also incredibly fun!
I am very fortunate to have found Master Longshore and began my life developing journey in Taekwondo!
To end, I would like to leave you with one of my favorite forms philosophies:
Kum Gam -translated means (To Hard to be Broken)
You can apply this to your own life…Both mentally and physically nobody or nothing can break you!  Only you have control of you!
